Team members have been gathering here all week. There are still a few others slated to arrive over the weekend or early next week.

The Macdonald Stewart Pavilion looks very good indeed. Theresa Barbato and her staff are doing a great job in caring for our beautiful old home - they take tremendous pride in this and it really shows!

The first match, against the North London RC and other visiting teams, is being fired on Stickledown this afternoon. There will be a formal dinner at the NLRC this evening, after which I hope to report the results to you.

The calendar for the next few days is roughly as follows:
9 - 10 July, team of 4 shooters competes in Yorkshire at Brockholes, vs Huddersfield RC, and Deer Hill Ranges, vs Manchester RC and others.
9 - 10 July, team of 8 shooters competes at Rogiet Moor, vs Wales - this is the first match at Rogiet Moor in several years.
11 July, all return to Bisley.
12 July, team(s?) compete at Bisley vs British Commonwealth RC and others.
13 July, team(?s) compete in the RAF International, with the CanAir Trophy at stake. Location yet to be determined.
14 July, team match vs Barbarians RC at Bisley.
14 July, Team BBQ at the Pavilion.
15 July, NRA Individual Matches start.

I will report as often and as promptly as possible.

Jim Thompson

Addendum, 22:50 Friday.

Just back from the NLRC and a very enjoyable and sociable dinner. Lots of good friends of Canada.
Results of the match (teams of 6 shooters, 900 and 1000 yards):
1. NLRC President's Team - 579.50
2. Canada #1 - 569.44 - high score Bernie Pepin 97.7
3  NLRC Chairman's Team - 554.34
4  NLRC Captain's Team - 550.38
5  Canada #2 - 542.35 - high scorer Stan Frost 95.5

Probably nothing more now until Monday when the Wales and Northern groups return.
