It remains warm, and mostly sunny - not much of a breeze so far. Performance in the infamous Corporation at 1000 yards may be strongly dependent on which detail the squadding has placed a particular shooter.

Geoff Woodman's tie shoot for the Lovell (1000 yards) will be held this evening.

Last night's Canadian Reception was a jolly affair. The heat kept most people out on the Pavilion verandah, apart from frequent forays back into the bar. By 11 pm, things were restored to normal and relative peace descended..

As the week goes on, more and more aggregates are decided as well as individual matches. For full details, I refer you again to the NRA web site, and I repeat my caveat that entry into aggregates is optional, so that not all Canadian names may show.

The three matches yesterday were the Alexandra (600 yards), Daily Mail (500 yards) and the Duke of Cambridge (900 yards).

Alexandra. This was won by our old friend, and regular CFRC attendee, John Deane with 50.10. No team members showed in the prize list but the scores of Bernie Pepin and Fazal Mohideen (50.7), Ray Smeltzer (50.5) and Scott Murray (50.4) were noted.

Daily Mail. Stan Frost was 14th with 75.10.

Duke of Cambridge. Stan Frost 16th with 50.7, Scott Murray 26th 50.6. Other scores noted Geoff Woodman 50.6, Peter Westlake 50.5 and Ray Smeltzer 50.5.

And for the aggregates completed yesterday ...

Sunday Aggregate. Stan Frost 10th with 174.22.

Weekend Aggregate. 19th Jim Paton 344.46, 24th Geoff Woodman 344.41, 38th Stan Frost 339.35.

Clementi Smith. 21st Jim Paton 174.27.

The Grand Aggregate now has 250 points on score. Scores are high. The leader is Jacqui Rankin with 249.39, with 8 other 249s. Canadians on the Leader Board are: 26th Jim Paton 247.33, 38th Stan Frost 247.28. Also on the list are 63rd 246.30, Patrick Champagne, and 66th Geoff Woodman 246.29. Today's score will count another 150 points towards the Grand.
