Wednesday morning, hardly a cloud in the sky! The RAF International Match is underway at Pirbright.
The past two days have seen the return of the parties from Wales and the North on Monday, and a series of intermittent. but often very heavy, thundershowers on both days. Not many of our team were shooting until Tuesday evening, but some of the Schools and Match Rifle events were interrupted, as was the nearby Farnborough Air Show. There was quite a bit of local flooding as stream overflowed.
In the late afternoon on Tuesday, we had a team firing in the British Commonwealth RC International Match. Overcast at the start, but by the last 600 yard range the sun was out, shining brightly from behind the targets and making the sight picture very difficult. I don't have complete scores yet, but here is what I've received (HPS 1200):
1. BCRC "1" - 1192.148
2. BCRC "2" - 1191
3. BCRC "3" - 1181
4. Australia - 1178
5. Canada - 1163.109
     Tom Walters - 138.11
     Pierre Tremblay - 145.9
     Bernie Pepin - 147.18
     Pat Vamplew - 148.16
     Geoff Woodman - 148.12
     Ray Smeltzer - 148.16
     Stephen Spinney - 140.12
     Barry Langille - 149.15 (*)
6. GB Under 25 - 1161
